A Secret Place
This tree sits at one of my favorite places when I was a child, Wampler's Lake State Park. This tree is a symbol of a major part of my life growing up. I was excited when I took a somewhat dull picture and turned it into what appears to be a painting. This is one of my favorite tree pictures to date!

Autumn Fun!

I love this time of year! I can smell the leaves in the air and it reminds me of school starting; fresh pencils and clean paper, new back packs, new clothes and lots of fun in school. Though I never really thought I liked school there was just something about fall time; playing outside, hearing the wind hollow. In school we made pictures of pumpkins and witches, haunted houses, ghosts and skeletons....and all the little holiday stickers the teachers would put on our papers! Leaf collages, candy corn, Halloween and Thanksgiving...and mostly my birthday, yeah!!! I just love this time of year!

Visit to My Dad's
This weekend I went up North to see my Dad and he drove my boys and I around his fairly new stomping grounds. These pictures were taken in a few select trails of Harrison, Michigan where the male species (some female I suppose) like to go play on any type of motor vehicle they can find. There is nothing like outdoor fun in Michigan! I end these pictures with the comfort of a bomb fire, the way I grew up!

Childhood Memories
Swain Memorial park in Brooklyn, Michigan is where I spent time bonding with other children as early as three years old when my parents moved away from the city and into the quite little town. I have many more memories with my own children there and most importantly the park is a place of rest to cast away worries of a busy life and just be still.
